Florida Justice Transitions has been in existence for over twenty years, and provides low cost housing, transitional assistance programs, and general support for Sex Offenders, in particular those who are in the process of release from prison. Services offered by Florida Justice Transitions include Housing, Furnishing and all Utilities (including In –Room Cable TV), Job Placement Assistance and Career Counseling, Substance Abuse Recovery Support (AA and NA), Probation Support and Transportation Assistance, Life Skills and Personal Finance Management and numerous social and recreational programs

Transitional, sober housing provides supportive housing along with drug and alcohol treatment for selective locations.

The collection consists of fiction and non-fiction books, large print books, audiobooks, DVDs, music CDs and a small selection of juvenile books and music CDs. In addition to its collection of circulating materials, the Fort Lauderdale Reading Center also provides reference services and public computers. It serves a diverse population of local customers as well as seasonal visitors. The same building houses ArtServe gallery/studios/auditorium and The Stonewall Library & Archives.
