The collection includes bestsellers, books on CDs, Wonderbooks (read-along) for children, Playaways, DVD's and non-fiction materials in English and Spanish. The collection is strong in picture books and non-fiction to meet the homework needs of academic and vocational students. There are 16 public computers for adults, six computers for teens and eight computers for children. The library has one AWE station for educational games for children.

Salvation Army offers several programs, including: The Open Door project provides safe shelter to 45 chronically homeless people each night. The New Beginnings Program offers a safe, stable environment for expectant mothers who are homeless. Plymouth Colony Program houses 33 families that may stay up to two years with the opportunity and resources to work towards transitioning to stable, independent, and permanent housing.
