The fiction collection is substantial and, in addition, contains some 9,000 un-cataloged paperbacks. The non-fiction collection focuses on ESOL (English as a Second Language), financial and entrepreneurial materials, health, cooking and the arts. There is an extensive popular Large Print collection, Spanish language collection, and circulating collection of books on CD and DVDs. The CD collection is arranged in an easily-viewed display system.

The collection features literacy material for all ages, consistent with the branch’s mission to provide literacy and learning services for the entire family. African-American literature and historical materials reflect the ethnicity of the community and make up a large portion of the collection. The branch has a full-time literacy staff and strong working relationships with other community service providers.
