The collection features literacy material for all ages, consistent with the branch’s mission to provide literacy and learning services for the entire family. African-American literature and historical materials reflect the ethnicity of the community and make up a large portion of the collection. The branch has a full-time literacy staff and strong working relationships with other community service providers.

Special features include a multipurpose room, study room, an AWE educational computer for preschool and elementary school children, and a total of 22 computers for public use with internet access for adults and youths.

The collection consists of over 25,000 fiction and non-fiction materials for all ages, including best sellers, DVDs and study guides. A periodical collection is also available and includes titles like Miami Herald, Sun-Sentinel and Wall Street Journal.
